First Ford

The client required a new Car Showroom. We designed a distinctive dynamic and angular building, with strong bold geometries. This new Car Dealership for Ford won an RIAS Regeneration Award.

 

The design offers strong 3-dimensional forms and layered textures (steel, brick, glass, render). The combination of materials creates deep high contrast shadows,  constantly changing abstract compositions.

 

The structural glazing presents a floating glass Showroom pavilion.

 

The Main Entrance is colourful with bold simple forms masking the complex and carefully considered detailing of junctions and intersections. The polished stainless steel entrance handrails appear sculptural against the black Handover Bay.

The geometries of the building extend into the layout and shaping of the entire site.
